📢 Traffic Alert: George Lane Closure! 📢

Norfolk! Norfolk County Council is implementing a temporary road closure on the C203 George Lane in Loddon (from its junction with C554 Bridge Street for 50m westwards) to allow Anglian Water to carry out essential meter exchange works.

When to Expect the Closure

  • Anticipated Closure: 10th - 11th July 2025, from 8 PM to 7 AM each night.

  • Potential Extension: The road may remain closed/restricted until 22nd August 2025 if works require it.

What to Expect

  • Road Closed to Vehicles: George Lane will be temporarily closed to all vehicular traffic.

  • Pedestrian Access Maintained: Foot access for pedestrians will still be possible.

  • Local Access: Vehicular access to final destinations within the closed section will be permitted where signs allow.

Diversion Route

Please use the alternative route via George Lane, A146 Loddon Bypass, and Norwich Road Bridge Street.

Important Information

  • This closure is necessary for the safety of workers and the public.

  • The Order will automatically revoke once works are complete or by 22nd August 2025.

  • Contravention of the closure could result in a maximum fine of £1000.
