Temporary Closure of The Staithe Public Toilets
Unfortunately, Loddon Town Council has had to make the difficult decision to temporarily close the public toilets and shower facilities at The Staithe with immediate effect.
South Norfolk Council is currently carrying out resurfacing works to The Staithe car park. Following a site visit today and discussions with the contractors, we have concluded that it is not safe for members of the public to access the toilets whilst heavy machinery is operating, and we have been advised that there will be no access at all whilst the new asphalt is being laid.
Although we appreciate the inconvenience this will cause, the safety of residents and visitors must come first.
The facilities will reopen as soon as the resurfacing works have been completed and safe access has been restored. We will provide a further update as soon as we have confirmation of the reopening date.
