🚸 Safer Crossing Point at the Old Hockey Field
Loddon Town Council is pleased to have completed a Parish Partnership scheme with Norfolk County Council, providing a safer crossing point between Jubilee Hall and the Old Hockey Field.
The works were completed on 8 July 2026 and included the installation of new bollards to prevent vehicles from parking immediately outside the entrance to the field and obstructing the pedestrian crossing point.
Previously, vehicles parked in this location could force pedestrians, including young children and families, to step into the road when walking between Jubilee Hall and the Old Hockey Field.
This relatively simple improvement will help to keep the entrance and crossing point clear, making the route safer and more accessible for everyone using the two sites.
We are very grateful to Norfolk County Council for providing 50% funding towards the scheme through the Parish Partnership programme.
