Road Closure A146

17 September 2024

Norfolk County Council has announced a Temporary Traffic Regulation Order (STRO11499) that will impact the A146 Loddon Road from its junction with C374 Hall Road for 1,970 meters north-westwards in the Parish of Thurton. This closure is being implemented to facilitate cat's eye replacement works. The road will be closed to vehicles (except for pedestrians) from 8:15 PM to 6:30 AM between 23rd and 25th September 2024. However, the road may remain closed until 6th November 2024 if needed, but only when signs are displayed indicating closure.

- Dates of closure: 23rd-25th September 2024 (8:15 PM to 6:30 AM)

- Potential extension until:  6th November 2024

- Reason for closure: Cat's eye replacement works

- Access: Permitted for pedestrians and vehicles needing to reach a final destination on the closed road, where signs allow.

- Alternative route:Includes A146, A143, B1332 through various areas such as Loddon, Poringland, Bungay, and other nearby locations.


The closure will automatically end once the work is completed or by 6th November 2024, whichever comes first. The penalty for violating the closure is a fine of up to £1,000 and/or endorsement.
