Remembrance Sunday, Loddon Parish Council, 2020
CHURCH PLAIN CAR PARK CLOSURE - Sunday 08 November 2020 - 9.30am – 11.30am
On Sunday 08 November 2020, the Church Plain car park will be closed for two hours, between 9.30am-11.30am to allow people to safely attend the open-air Remembrance Sunday service. Attendance will be limted to 30 people and face masks are advisable.
The car park will remain open to permit holders and disabled users. There will be marshals placed at the entrance to monitor the car park closure.
Unfortunately, owing to the Covid 19 Pandemic, the Remembrance Parade will not go ahead this year and we must think of other ways of remembering those that lost their lives in service to their country.
Reverend David Owen will be conducting a short outdoor Service, as an Act of Public Worship on November 8th at Loddon War Memorial at 10.55am. If you attend, please adhere to Government guidelines with regard to social distancing. Councillor June Strickland will be laying a wreath on behalf of Loddon Parish Council.
The Royal British Legion have suggested a poppy window display, and have assisted by creating a template. The poster can be downloaded here; https://storage.rblcdn.co.uk/…/royal-british-legion-downloa… and Loddon Parish Council would love to see them displayed in your windows.
