Loddon & Chedgrave Tennis Courts Moves Forward with Fundraising Campaign
Loddon Town Council, on behalf of the Loddon & Chedgrave Playing Field Committee, is progressing plans to resurface the macadam tennis courts at the Loddon & Chedgrave Playing Field. Grant applications have already been submitted, and together with earmarked reserves, the Council is optimistic that the required funding will be secured in time for the project to be delivered by April 2026.
As part of the fundraising efforts, Loddon Tennis Club has launched a crowdfunding campaign, aiming to raise £2,500 over the next 12 weeks. County Councillor Kay Mason Billig has generously committed to match fund all donations made to this campaign, doubling the benefit of every contribution from the community.
This vital improvement project will enhance the quality and longevity of the tennis courts, ensuring that this valuable community sports facility remains well-used, accessible, and enjoyable for residents of Loddon, Chedgrave, and the surrounding areas.
Loddon Town Council and the Tennis Club are encouraging anyone who is able to support the project to consider making a donation. All contributions will help ensure that future generations can continue to play, learn, and enjoy tennis locally.
A spokesperson for the Committee said:
“Community sport is an important part of life in Loddon & Chedgrave, and these improvements will help us maintain a facility we can all be proud of. We are extremely grateful for every donation received.”
